It is an exciting time for our team at Bake-O-Glide as we prepare to visit the Cake and Bake show at Earl’s Court in London this weekend. The event is the UK’s first live show dedicated to everything about bread, the art of baking and, of course, cakes.
Originally planned to run from 10am to 6pm over the two-day period, huge demand has caused organisers to reconsider and extend the show time until 9pm each evening. The event features a host of star speakers from the baking world, including Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood and Mich Turner, who will be addressing visitors on a range of topics. There will be bake-offs and competitions, perhaps the most exciting of which is the ‘Edible Beach’; an array of marine themed cakes, pastries and treats.
One of the hubs of the Cake and Bake show is set to be the Cake Kitchen. This will be a demonstration theatre showcasing the diverse talents of big names in the baking industry and is sure to attract a large crowd each day. Sugarcrafters, chocolatiers, patissiers and more will take to the stage to share their skills and secrets, whilst offering tantalising glimpses into the latest flavour trends and innovative techniques.
Also sure to be popular is the Kid’s Kitchen area. This dedicated children’s area of the event will feature a range of demos, classes and competitions, allowing young people to learn about the many skills needed for all kinds of cookery. As this area will feature particularly tasty and colourful creations, it is likely that many adults will enjoy the area as much as their children.
Representatives of Bake-O-Glide will be exhibiting our range of baking products at the Cake and Bake show in the dedicated ‘Supplier Zone’. Showcasing our innovative baking products such as Bake-O-Glide reusable tin and oven liners, silicone-printed work mats, sugar craft icing sheets and Truly Scrumptious cupcake cases, we look forward to meeting with the many thousands of baking enthusiasts who will visit the show.
Our weekend looks set to be a enlightening, interesting and tasty time and we would urge everyone to try and visit if they can.
