Bake-O-Glide® offers four designs: Original, Edged, Solid and Circles. All four help protect induction glass from scratches, scuffs and moving cookware, but they provide different levels of coverage.

Bake-O-Glide® Induction Hob Protectors are designed exclusively for induction hobs. They are not suitable for ceramic, gas, radiant or solid-plate hobs.

Original Induction Hob Protector

The Original Induction Hob Protector is the straightforward choice for flexible, full-hob scratch protection.

Its silicone-coated open mesh sits between your cookware and the glass, helping to reduce scratches, scuffs and pan movement. The open edges allow the protector to be carefully trimmed with sharp scissors when a closer fit is required.

The Original comes in three sizes:

• Half: 295 × 520mm
• Standard: 590 × 520mm
• Large: 780 × 520mm

Because the surface is open mesh, liquid can pass through it. Spills should therefore be cleaned from both the protector and the hob.

Choose the Original if you want affordable full-surface coverage or need a protector that can be adjusted to fit.

Edged Induction Hob Protector

The Edged Induction Hob Protector uses the same open silicone-coated mesh but adds a sealed border.

The edging helps the protector retain its shape, resist fraying and remain stable beneath heavier cookware. It also has the widest choice of sizes in the range, including larger protectors and versions made for selected BORA hobs.

The Edged protector should not be trimmed because cutting it would remove the sealed border.

Like the Original, this is an open-mesh protector. It protects against scratches and scuffs, but liquid can still pass through to the glass.

Choose the Edged design if durability, heavy cookware or finding a particular size is your main concern.

Solid Induction Hob Protector

The Solid Induction Hob Protector provides the most complete surface protection in the range.

Its glass mesh is sealed with a clear silicone coating, creating a solid barrier between cookware and the hob. This helps protect against scratches while preventing spills, splashes and boil-overs from passing through to the glass.

Because food and liquid remain on the surface, the Solid protector is also the easiest design to wipe clean.

It is available in four fixed sizes and cannot be trimmed or made to bespoke dimensions.

Choose the Solid if you want protection from both scratches and spills or prefer the easiest surface to clean.

Induction Hob Protector Circles

Induction Hob Protector Circles cover individual cooking zones rather than the entire hob.

Each pack contains two 175mm circles and two 228mm circles. They help protect the areas directly beneath your pans while leaving touch controls, displays and unused parts of the hob uncovered.

The trade-off is that the surrounding glass remains exposed to spills, dropped utensils and pans moved outside the protected zones.

Choose Circles if you normally use one or two zones, want to keep your controls visible or prefer targeted protection instead of a full-hob mat.

2. Position the protector on a cool induction hob.
