Induction hob glass scratches easily and shows every grease mark, waterspot, and burnt-on residue. This kit gives you what you need to clean it properly: a specialist hob cleaner, an absorbent cloth for applying and wiping, and microfibre pads for a streak-free finish. Suitable for all glass hobs, with or without a Bake-O-Glide Hob Protector.
The kit contains three products that work together: a cleaner formulated specifically for glass hob surfaces, an absorbent cloth for application and residue removal, and microfibre pads for polishing to a streak-free finish.
Make sure the hob is cool before you start. Wet the cellulose sponge cloth, apply HG Hob Cleaner Extra Strong to the hob surface, and use the cloth to work the cleaner in and lift the residue. Rinse the cloth clean, then wipe away any excess cleaner from the surface. Finish with the Spontex microfibre pads to buff dry and leave a streak-free finish.
Most cleaning problems on induction hobs come down to using the wrong products. General kitchen sprays smear rather than cut through baked-on grease, and rough sponges scratch the glass over time. HG Hob Cleaner is formulated specifically for glass hob surfaces, and the cellulose cloth and microfibre pads are soft enough to use on them without risk. Used together, they deal with the residue without adding new marks in the process.
If you're cleaning your hob regularly, a Bake-O-Glide Induction Hob Protector reduces how often you need to. It sits on the glass surface during cooking, taking the scratches and spills instead of the hob itself.
These are the most common questions customers ask before buying.
Yes. The HG Hob Cleaner Extra Strong and the cloths are suitable for all glass hob surfaces, including ceramic and induction. Avoid using on gas hobs with cast iron grates or exposed burners.
Yes. The cellulose cloth is soft enough to use on the protector surface without risk of marking it. For everyday maintenance of the protector itself, a rinse under the tap or a wipe with a damp cloth is usually all that's needed after normal use.
A quick wipe after each use, while the hob is still slightly warm but not hot, stops residue from baking on and keeps maintenance simple. For a deeper clean using the HG cleaner, once a week or whenever you notice buildup is usually enough.
Yes. Rinse it before and after each use and it will last through many cleaning sessions. Hand wash only, do not put it in the dishwasher or washing machine.
