This kit gives you what you need to clean it properly: a specialist hob cleaner, an absorbent cloth for applying and wiping, and microfibre pads for a streak-free finish. What's in the Kit
The kit contains three products that work together: a cleaner formulated specifically for glass hob surfaces, an absorbent cloth for application and residue removal, and microfibre pads for polishing to a streak-free finish.
- HG Hob Cleaner Extra Strong, a specialist cleaner formulated to cut through burnt-on grease and stubborn residue on glass hob surfaces without scratching.
- Mr Eco Cellulose Sponge Cloth, made from plant-based cellulose and cotton weft. Super absorbent and 100% biodegradable, it applies cleaner evenly and helps lift residue gently from the glass surface.
- Spontex Microfibre Kitchen Kit, fine microfibre pads that buff the surface dry and help leave a clean, streak-free finish without lint.
How to Use
Make sure the hob is cool before you start. Wet the cellulose sponge cloth, apply HG Hob Cleaner Extra Strong to the hob surface, and use the cloth to work the cleaner in and lift the residue. Rinse the cloth clean, then wipe away any excess cleaner from the surface. Finish with the Spontex microfibre pads to buff dry and leave a streak-free finish.

FAQs
Does this kit work on ceramic hobs as well as induction?
Yes. The HG Hob Cleaner Extra Strong and the cloths are suitable for all glass hob surfaces, including ceramic and induction. Avoid using on gas hobs with cast iron grates or exposed burners.
Can I use the cellulose sponge cloth on my Bake-O-Glide hob protector?
Yes. The cellulose cloth is soft enough to use on the protector surface without risk of marking it. For everyday maintenance of the protector itself, a rinse under the tap or a wipe with a damp cloth is usually all that's needed after normal use.
How often should I clean my induction hob?
A quick wipe after each use, while the hob is still slightly warm but not hot, stops residue from baking on and keeps maintenance simple. For a deeper clean using the HG cleaner, once a week or whenever you notice buildup is usually enough.
Is the cellulose sponge cloth reusable?
Yes. Rinse it before and after each use and it will last through many cleaning sessions. Hand wash only, do not put it in the dishwasher or washing machine.
